Not a company that opened a store — a store that grew out of a classroom in Puerto Rico.
BeatsHouse didn’t start as a company — it started in a classroom at el Colegio, the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez. That’s where Gohan, an engineering student from Cidra, met XANDRE (Xavier Torres) — a producer from Cabo Rojo who grew up in Georgia and came back to the island.
Xandre was already making beats. He taught Gohan FL Studio, and the two started the grind together: producing beats, recording emerging artists, learning the craft night after night. Somewhere in there the idea hit — producers like them needed a real storefront, not DMs and screenshots. That storefront became BeatsHouse.
Today the house has grown past its two founders. Producers like chama.tsk, from Mexico, build alongside them — but the mission is the same one from that classroom: put boricua producers on the map, one beat at a time.
BeatsHouse no empezó como empresa — empezó en un salón del Colegio de Mayagüez (UPRM). Ahí Gohan (Cidra, ing.) conoció a XANDRE (Xavier Torres), productor de Cabo Rojo criado en Georgia. Xandre ya producía; le enseñó FL Studio a Gohan y arrancaron juntos — haciendo beats y grabando artistas emergentes. En el camino nació la idea: una vitrina real, no DMs. Esa vitrina es BeatsHouse. La misión sigue siendo la de aquel salón: poner al productor boricua en el mapa, un beat a la vez.
